About

Colin's  love of the performing arts began when he was cast in the first play he auditioned for—a junior high school production of Harvey. Twelve-year-old Colin played a fifty-five year old man. He hasn't looked back since.

Colin began studying to be an actor while an undergrad at The University of Minnesota--Twin Cities in a program that focused on collaborative, devised and physical theater. He formalized his training at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, getting his Masters with distinction.

His plays have been produced by The Tank, The Peoples Improv Theater, This Is Not a Theater Company, Dixon Place and Barn Arts. He has been a member of various writing groups, including Art House Productions’s INKubator, The Pilot Program at The Tank and an informal group that’s met weekly since 2016 but never figured out what to call itself. He was a finalist for Red Bull Theater’s Short New Play Festival, Davenport Theatricals’s 10 Minute Play Contest and The Project Y Writer’s Group. His play, Fair, was a semifinalist for the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Let's Get Weird can be purchased here.

Colin produced the original sell-out run of Puffs, or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic at The Peoples Improv Theater. He was an Associate Producer on its record-breaking Off-Broadway run. Additional producing highlights include SERIALS at The Flea Theater, Kapow-i GoGo at The Peoples Improv Theater and associate producing Our House in Concert in London’s West End.

Memorable acting credits include playing Jesus in the Drama Desk Award-winning production of The Mysteries at The Flea Theater, performing Pool Play in an actual pool at The International Theatre Festival of Kerala in India with This Is Not a Theater Company and originating the role of General President Thunderbolt in Kapow-i GoGo.

When not working, Colin enjoys gardening, cooking, learning about wine and reading non-fiction. He has a soft spot for Call My Agent, Kath & Kim, The Great British Bakeoff and The Great Pottery Throw Down. Though he does not believe in perfection, he’s fairly certain the nearest thing to it would be an afternoon spent wandering London’s Southbank followed by an evening watching the lone street performers in Covent Garden.

His motto is

i t ' s   a l l   a n   a d v e n t u r e ,   i s n ' t   i t ?
