About

Colin's  love of the performing arts began when he was cast in the first play he auditioned for—a junior high school production of Harvey.  Twelve-year-old Colin played a fifty-five year old man.  He hasn't looked back since.

Colin began studying to be an actor while an undergrad at The University of Minnesota--Twin Cities in a program that focused on collaborative, devised, and physical theater.  He formalized his training at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, which has fostered such talent as Judi Dench, Lawrence Olivier, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Andrew Garfield.  He graduated with distinction.

While in London, he and friends Isabel Steuble-Johnson, Hamza Jeetooa, and Lee Lytle began filming sketches between sporadic acting opportunities and myriad side hustles.  Shortly thereafter, they founded Untethered Films, a low budget film house that produced--among other content--a TV pilot and in-house material for Channel 4.

Colin moved to New York in 2013, where he bussed tables to make ends meet.  His second paycheck bought his bed.  Within a year, he was cast in the Drama Desk winning production The Mysteries at The Flea Theater.  The pull of producing soon followed.  He collaborated with friends Stephen Stout, Matt Cox, and Kristin McCarthy Parker to create Kapow-i GoGo and Puffs, the former a cult sensation and the latter a hit that continues to run at New World Stages.  Both were produced on a dime.  The success of Puffs resulted in a job in the offices of its off-Broadway lead producer, Tilted Windmills.  After nearly ten years in the industry--time spent with side jobs in restaurants of every shape and size--Colin officially became a full-time employee in the arts.

When not working, Colin enjoys gardening, cooking, learning about wine, and reading non-fiction.  He has a soft spot for Arrested Development and most things Edgar Wright.  Though he does not believe in perfection, he’s fairly certain the nearest thing to it would be an afternoon spent wandering London’s Southbank followed by an evening watching the lone street performers in Covent Garden.

His motto is

i t ' s   a l l   a n   a d v e n t u r e ,   i s n ' t   i t ?
